As the Broker/Owner of Wild Iris Real Estate, Kara Shearer is committed to providing exceptional service, honest guidance, and outstanding results for every client she represents. Since beginning her real estate career in 2017, she has earned a reputation for professionalism, strong negotiation skills, and personalized service that helps buyers and sellers navigate each transaction with confidence.
Before entering real estate, Kara built a successful career as both a Personal and Business Banker, which provided her valuable expertise in lending, finance, and contracts. That financial background allows her to guide clients through one of life's biggest investments with knowledge and clarity.
Kara earned her California Broker's License in 2023. In July of 2026, she founded Wild Iris Real Estate and fulfilled her dream of opening its first brick-and-mortar office in the heart of downtown North Fork. Her vision was to create a brokerage built on integrity, local expertise, and a genuine commitment to serving the mountain communities she loves.

Deeply rooted in the North Fork community, Kara has proudly served as President and now Secretary of the North Fork Chamber of Commerce, serves as Secretary of the North Fork Community Development Council, and has volunteered for many years with the North Fork Boosters, helping organize cherished community events including the Annual Chili Cook-Off, Logger's Jamboree Parade, and Children's Fishing Derby.
Outside of real estate and community service, Kara enjoys making memories with her family, spending time with her dogs, and relaxing with a fishing pole in hand at one of the many nearby lakes or creeks.
